SouthernWorldwide.com – Joe Coffey, a prominent figure in professional wrestling, has expressed his feelings about his recent career trajectory, stating that the past few years felt “kinda wasted.” He is now looking forward to a period of significant growth and impact with Major League Wrestling (MLW).

Coffey joined MLW over the past year, contributing to the promotion’s already impressive roster of talent. He made the move alongside his stablemates, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang, with whom he previously performed in WWE NXT. The trio has since rebranded themselves as Glasgow Boys on Top (GBOT), with clear ambitions to capture championship titles.

The Gallus stable, including Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang, concluded their tenure with WWE in May 2025 before making the transition to MLW. This move signals a new chapter for the wrestlers and for the promotion itself.

“I’m really looking forward to just sinking my teeth in and telling some great stories,” Coffey stated. He highlighted his enthusiasm for the creative opportunities ahead. “I got some great ideas and Court (Bauer) has been very collaborative and stuff like that. I can’t thank them enough for giving us an opportunity. I think it’s a perfect fit for just now.”

Coffey also articulated his desire to achieve championship success not only for himself but for the entire GBOT faction. He believes their time in MLW should be marked by dominance and a relentless pursuit of gold.

“I hope I have a title around my waist,” he said. “I think we’re coming, especially now, the GBOT, it’s gotta be pure violence, to be honest. We have had restrictors, orders, before but now when we’re in the ring we just gotta be dominant.”

Drawing inspiration from a well-known quote, Coffey emphasized their intent to conquer, not just participate. “As Conor McGregor said a few years ago, we’re not here to take part. We’re here to take over.”

He elaborated on his personal motivation, feeling that his considerable talents were not fully utilized in recent years. “I’m not here to make up numbers. I’m here to show who I am. Quite frankly, I feel as though I’ve been wasted the past couple years so it’s just time to step up again and go, ‘Na, I’m Joe Coffey by the way. Just to let you know.’” Coffey reminded fans of his impressive past achievements, including competing against Hall of Famers and headlining major events.

“I used to wrestle Hall of Famers, sold-out arenas, been a main-event player before that. So, na, na, I got my pedigree. I’m not going to rest on my laurels. But I’m here,” he asserted, signaling his readiness to make a significant impact.

The recent debut of “MLW Fusion” on Veeps marks a significant step for the promotion, making it accessible to a global audience on a free streaming platform. This strategic move is expected to introduce MLW to a new demographic of viewers.

Coffey views this expansion as a “massive” development for MLW. He believes that the promotion offers a unique emphasis on compelling storylines, setting it apart from other wrestling organizations. He sees this as a key differentiator that will resonate with fans.

“Actually watching ‘Fusion’ (last) Saturday, I feel as if ‘MLW Fusion’ has what the pro wrestling world is missing,” Coffey observed. “It has something for everyone. There’s great storylines going on at one time. Again, I feel that’s missing in modern pro wrestling. So watching it, I was like, this is such a good show.”

He expressed his eagerness for the wider audience to experience the product MLW has to offer. The initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, fueling Coffey’s optimism for the future with the company. “I can’t wait for it to take on and let people see what we’ve been doing. … The feedback has been nothing but positive. I’m really positive and looking forward to the future with MLW.”
