SouthernWorldwide.com – The U.S. military has announced a lethal strike targeting another vessel in the Caribbean suspected of carrying narco-traffickers, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.

The U.S. Southern Command confirmed it carried out a “lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations.” This action was reportedly directed by the leader of the Southern Command, Marine Corps General Francis L. Donovan.

Intelligence gathered by the military suggests the vessel was navigating established narco-trafficking routes within the Caribbean and was actively involved in such operations.

In addition to the two fatalities, six male survivors were rescued following the engagement.

The military stated that USSOUTHCOM promptly alerted the U.S. Coast Guard to initiate search and rescue protocols for the survivors.

This incident marks the latest in a series of strikes conducted under the Trump administration, aimed at eliminating alleged narco-terrorists. Since September, these operations have reportedly resulted in over 200 fatalities.

The Pentagon has not disclosed the identities of those killed in these strikes since last fall, nor has it provided evidence of drugs found on board.

The administration’s approach to these strikes has drawn criticism from various quarters, including Democrats and some Republicans. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, for instance, has voiced concerns regarding the potential for killing individuals without due process and the risk of harming innocent people.

RAND PAUL SAYS GOP COLLEAGUES ‘DON’T GIVE A S––T ABOUT THESE PEOPLE IN THE BOATS’: THEY ‘SAY THEY’RE PRO-LIFE’

Senator Paul remarked in January, “I look at my colleagues who say they’re pro-life, and they value God’s inspiration in life, but they don’t give a s––- about these people in the boats.” He questioned the nature of the individuals on board, suggesting they might be impoverished individuals from Venezuela and Colombia.

The senator has previously referenced Coast Guard data indicating that a significant proportion of vessels intercepted on suspicion of drug trafficking are found to be operated by innocent parties.

Human rights organizations have also condemned these attacks, characterizing them as “extrajudicial killings.”
