The main event was a highly anticipated clash between two skilled wrestlers. Nemeth entered the bout aiming to unseat Santana, who had held the championship for almost a year. Nemeth had his brother present to assist with psychological tactics during the match.
Ryan Nemeth’s distraction of the referee led to his immediate ejection. This brief diversion allowed Nic Nemeth to strike Santana down with the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy. Santana sustained a head injury from the impact.
Nemeth executed a superkick, but Santana retaliated with Spin the Block. The subsequent pinfall attempt was unsuccessful. Nemeth then landed a series of superkicks followed by a Danger Zone maneuver, yet Santana managed to remain in the contest.
However, Santana began to lose momentum. After kicking out of Nemeth’s recent offensive sequence, he faltered into Nemeth’s grasp. Nemeth then delivered another Danger Zone, securing the pinfall and the victory.
This marks Nemeth’s second tenure as the TNA World Champion. His initial championship reign commenced at Slammiversary 2024, where he defeated Moose, Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, Frankie Kazarian, and Joe Hendry. Two years later, he has reclaimed the top position in TNA.
Nemeth now stands at the pinnacle of the roster as the reigning champion. It is anticipated that Santana will seek a rematch, with the Lockdown event just a few weeks away.
