SouthernWorldwide.com – Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg has confirmed his relationship with Duke women’s basketball center Arianna Roberson, making their romance public during a getaway in Turks and Caicos.
Flagg, whose NBA season concluded last month, shared the news via his Instagram Story on Thursday. The post featured a photo of the couple sharing a kiss against the backdrop of Turks and Caicos. Roberson then reposted the image to her own Instagram Story, adding two black heart emojis to signify their connection.

Adding another layer to their public announcement, Roberson also shared a TikTok video showcasing their vacation together. The caption for the video read, “carry on,” hinting at the beginning of a new chapter for the couple.
Speculation about their relationship had been circulating among fans for some time. These rumors were fueled by individual social media posts from both Flagg and Roberson, which showed them at the same resort during the same period. Their presence together at Cameron Indoor Stadium in February further solidified these suspicions. They were seen attending Duke’s dominant 101-64 victory over Syracuse.
The couple’s paths first crossed at Duke University, where they were both freshmen during the 2024-25 academic year. Flagg, after leading Duke to the Final Four, declared for the NBA Draft. He was subsequently selected as the number one overall pick in the draft.
Despite the Dallas Mavericks facing a challenging season and missing the playoffs during Flagg’s rookie year, he achieved significant personal success. He was awarded NBA Rookie of the Year, narrowly edging out his former Duke teammate, Kon Knueppel, who plays forward for the Charlotte Hornets.
Throughout his 70 games played, Flagg demonstrated impressive performance, averaging 21 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
On the women’s side, Roberson played in 33 games for Duke. She averaged 8 points per game, with a shooting efficiency of 41.6%. Notably, her older brother, Andre Roberson, also had a notable career in the NBA, playing seven seasons, predominantly with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
