Austin Theory: Logan Paul’s WWE Success as an Outsider ‘Messed It Up’ for Others

SouthernWorldwide.com – Austin Theory believes Logan Paul’s rapid success in WWE has set an impossibly high bar for other outsiders looking to break into the wrestling world.

Theory and Paul are gearing up for a significant challenge as they defend their World Tag Team Championships this weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event against The Street Profits.

Both Theory and Paul are integral parts of “The Vision,” a prominent faction on “Monday Night Raw” that represents the future of WWE. While Bron Breakker is seen as the in-ring leader, having made a powerful return at WrestleMania 42 and defeated Seth Rollins at Backlash, Theory and Paul currently hold championship gold. Paul Heyman, a seasoned veteran, serves as the mouthpiece for this new generation of superstars.

With the tag team titles around his waist, Paul has now achieved championship success twice in WWE since his debut in 2021. He possesses the attributes that aspiring professional wrestlers dream of: exceptional athletic ability in the ring, a significant connection with the crowd, and strong microphone skills.

“I look at Logan Paul, his athletic ability, his wrestling skills, and how quickly he’s developed,” Theory stated. “It’s impressive to me, especially as someone who dreamed of being in WWE since I was eight, started training at 18, signed with WWE at 22, and took a much longer path. But I have to give Logan his due respect. He started with YouTube and streaming, essentially creating the platform and putting it on the map with his streaming endeavors.”

“We both built our dreams in different ways and met in the middle. I just think he’s made it harder for everyone else on the outside who wants to come into WWE and thinks, ‘Oh, this is easy. I can just grab a mic, talk trash, and do cool moves off the ropes like Logan Paul,’ but that’s not the case. There’s an art to this. Logan Paul is exceptional on the mic. In the ring, he does things that even some of our top high-flyers in WWE can’t do. He’s a phenomenal athlete. When you compare me and Logan Paul, we’re freaks of nature. That’s why I say we’re going to motivate everyone this Saturday at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Fort Wayne.”

The faction known as “The Vision,” which also includes the injured Bronson Reed, is under the guidance of Paul Heyman. Heyman has a long history of mentoring and advocating for many young talents in WWE.

Theory expressed immense confidence in Heyman’s ability to steer him and his stablemates in the right direction.

“With Paul Heyman, you know his history with Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Seth Rollins – before he realized he was a loser,” Theory commented. “Paul Heyman is the ‘wiseman.’ I believe everything he says is golden, especially in molding The Vision and guiding us. I couldn’t ask for more. It’s like sitting at the knowledge tree of history. He’s been involved from the 80s to the present day. The man has done it all. I’m very grateful for the wiseman, Paul Heyman.”

The challengers for the tag team titles are Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. The duo made their return to “Monday Night Raw” after WrestleMania 42 following an extended absence.

Theory acknowledged their accomplishments. The Street Profits are three-time WWE tag team champions and have also held tag titles in NXT and Evolve. However, Theory firmly stated that Ford and Dawkins are about to face “the greatest tag team champions in the world.”

“Well, The Street Profits. They’ve been in WWE for a very long time,” he said. “Feels like too long, like 60 years. I do notice that every time I have a title, they seem to be around, which makes sense because they’re irrelevant and I’m relevant. But not to downplay them too much, they are very athletic and have a great resume. But when you compare them to Austin Theory and Logan Paul – The Vision. The greatest tag team champions in the world, of the universe. You can’t really compare.”

“Unfortunately, yes, I said unfortunately, the show is in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I see this match as more of a big motivational moment for the people there because they’re going to see two guys who don’t look like anyone from Fort Wayne. We look like superheroes. We’re really there to inspire everyone, and then after the match, we’ll get the hell out of there.”

Saturday Night’s Main Event is scheduled to take place in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a location that Theory seems less than thrilled about. The event promises a stacked card.

In addition to the tag team title match, the full lineup for the event is as follows:
