The Pope specifically highlighted concerns about autonomous weapons systems that could operate beyond meaningful human control. Recalling the devastating floods that recently impacted Peru, he used the experience to illustrate that true rebuilding involves restoring faith and instilling hope among affected populations.
Furthermore, the Pope articulated the Catholic Church’s broader perspective on the intersection of humanity and technology.
“Within each person resides a freedom, an inner life, and a calling to love and worship that no machine can ever replicate,” he declared.
