SouthernWorldwide.com – The dynamic tag team known as Jet Speed experienced a significant night on All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) “Dynamite” this past Wednesday.

“Speedball” Mike Bailey showcased his dominance by quickly defeating Westbrook, marking his third consecutive win on AEW programming. Simultaneously, Kevin Knight successfully retained his TNT Championship against the returning Brian Cage.

Following their respective victories, Knight vocalized his strong support for Bailey’s aspirations to capture championship gold. Bailey had previously declared his intention to pursue the AEW World Championship next. The current titleholder, Darby Allin, is set to defend his championship against Konosuke Takeshita as he prepares for a highly anticipated hair vs. title match against Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF).

“Honestly, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey is a true genius in wrestling. He’s been performing for nearly longer than I’ve been alive,” Knight remarked. “He has encountered every conceivable scenario in the ring and has competed in thousands of matches. He dedicates his time to studying wrestling and discussing it constantly. He possesses an innate ability to position everyone perfectly to elicit the strongest crowd reactions.

“The fact that I have someone like him in my corner is incredible. Plus, his kicks are incredibly powerful. So, I believe he’s exceptionally intelligent, and I don’t have to endure those kicks myself, which makes for a fantastic combination. I have absolutely no complaints about it.”

Knight also shared some of the invaluable advice that Bailey has offered him over the years.

“The most crucial piece of advice is to avoid overthinking. Just do what you do,” Knight explained. “As simple as that sounds, that’s genuinely the guidance he provides. You take that advice and think, ‘Okay, don’t overthink it, and just do what you do.’ Then you go out there, perform as you do, return backstage, and everyone is pleased, and you prepare for the next challenge.”

Both competitors have achieved considerable success since joining AEW.

The duo has held the AEW trios championship on two separate occasions. They initially won the belts alongside “Hangman” Adam Page and later secured them again with the legendary Lucha Libre icon Místico.

The potential for both athletes is immense as they each set their sights on claiming more singles championships.
