SouthernWorldwide.com – The NFL has officially awarded Super Bowl LXIV to Nashville, Tennessee, with the championship game scheduled to be played in February 2030.

This prestigious event, often referred to as Music City’s biggest moment, was announced on Tuesday following a review and a unanimous vote by NFL owners at the Spring League Meeting in Orlando.

The vote, which saw all 32 owners cast their approval, signifies a major win for Nashville and the Tennessee Titans franchise.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed his enthusiasm, recalling the success of the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville as a benchmark for fan engagement. He stated that hosting Super Bowl LXIV at the new stadium represents the next significant step in the city’s football journey, crediting the vision of Amy Adams Strunk and the Titans organization, alongside their partners at the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp.

The selection of Nashville for Super Bowl LXIV marks a potential pinnacle for the city’s sports scene, drawing comparisons to the memorable “Music City Miracle” of January 2000, which followed the relocation of the Houston Oilers to Nashville in 1997.

Nashville has undergone significant development since its early days as an NFL host city.

Currently, Nashville and the Tennessee Titans are in the final stages of constructing a new $2.1 billion stadium, slated for its grand opening in time for the 2027 NFL season. This state-of-the-art facility, the new Nissan Stadium, will have been operational for three seasons before it hosts Super Bowl LXIV, concluding the 2029 season in February 2030.

During the Steel Topping Out ceremony for the new Nissan Stadium in November, Commissioner Goodell lauded the franchise’s facility and hinted at the possibility of Nashville hosting a Super Bowl in the future.

That future is now confirmed.

Deana Ivey, President & CEO of the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp., highlighted the significance of hosting the Super Bowl for Nashville and Tennessee, emphasizing years of dedicated effort to establish Music City as a premier global destination for music, entertainment, and live events.

She further elaborated that this event presents an unparalleled opportunity to showcase Nashville’s vibrant and creative spirit to a worldwide audience, promising a Super Bowl experience that is uniquely “Music City,” where the convergence of music, sports, culture, and hospitality creates an unmatched atmosphere.

Looking ahead, the NFL has already designated future Super Bowl locations. Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 14, 2027.

The following year, Super Bowl LXII will take place at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on February 13, 2028.

Las Vegas is set to host Super Bowl LXIII in February 2029, with the exact date yet to be determined.

In addition to the Super Bowl announcement, NFL owners also approved Minneapolis as the host city for the 2028 NFL Draft.

The bid for Minneapolis focused on utilizing U.S. Bank Stadium for the main event, with ancillary draft festivities planned across the Twin Cities, including the Mall of America and other venues.

The NFL Draft has a history of moving between major cities, having previously been held in New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Nashville, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Detroit, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh. The upcoming 2025 NFL Draft is slated to be held in Washington, D.C.
