SouthernWorldwide.com – Detroit Lions’ 2024 first-round draft pick, cornerback Terrion Arnold, has been arrested in Florida. The arrest is connected to an alleged kidnapping and armed robbery incident that authorities state occurred in February.

The Tampa Police Department announced Arnold’s arrest on Wednesday night. This follows the earlier apprehension of six other individuals who are accused of participating in what investigators have described as a “targeted armed robbery.”

Arnold reportedly turned himself in to authorities. He was taken into custody at the Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County. He faces four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery.

Investigators have indicated that Arnold rented an Airbnb property in Largo, Florida. He is said to have periodically stayed at this location with several co-defendants. These individuals include Arianna Del Valle, 19; Jasmine Randazzo, 19; Lyndell Hudson II, 26; Christion Williams, 24; Boakai Hilton Jr., 23; and Freddie Hughes, 27.

Authorities also stated that other individuals were residing at the Airbnb property. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

According to the investigation, three male victims, all reportedly in their late teens, sustained visible injuries. They were allegedly battered, held at gunpoint, and pistol-whipped. Following the assault, they were robbed and ordered to leave a residence located on North 46th Street in Tampa.

A separate incident involving the Airbnb property preceded the alleged robbery. Investigators reported that multiple personal items belonging to Arnold and others were stolen from the Airbnb on February 1. Arnold reportedly suspected two of the three victims of the robbery were responsible for this theft.

However, Tampa police later determined that these victims were not involved in the theft from the Airbnb. This finding is a crucial detail in the unfolding investigation.

On February 3, Arnold, along with Hilton, Hughes, and another individual, reported that over $250,000 in stolen property had been taken. This report was filed with the Largo Police Department.

Investigators allege that later on the same day, Arnold and Hilton coordinated with Del Valle and Randazzo. Their alleged plan was to contact one of the victims and lure him to an apartment.

Police stated that the three victims arrived at the apartment on February 4, intending to meet the women. However, Williams and Hudson were allegedly hiding inside a bedroom closet at the location.

According to investigators, Williams and Hudson then emerged and apprehended the victims. The victims were allegedly held at gunpoint and assaulted by them.

Authorities reported that Del Valle live-streamed the incident. She allegedly streamed it to Arnold, Hilton, and Hughes while they were traveling to the apartment. Investigators also stated that they recovered a group chat involving the defendants.

In this group chat, Arnold and Hilton allegedly provided directions to Del Valle, Williams, and Hudson during the ongoing assault. This indicates a level of coordination among the alleged perpetrators.

Investigators reported that Arnold, Hilton, Hughes, and another individual arrived at the apartment around 1 a.m. Arnold is alleged to have directed the group inside the apartment.

Hughes, Hudson, and Williams are accused of stealing the victims’ personal property while the assault was still in progress. This suggests a coordinated effort to rob the victims.

Authorities stated that the victims were escorted from the apartment approximately 40 minutes later. They were reportedly forced into their vehicle and then left the scene. The victims subsequently reported the incident to Tampa police and identified the suspects.

Investigators believe that Arnold was the primary organizer of the alleged scheme. This conclusion is based on the evidence gathered throughout the investigation.

Arnold, a former player for the University of Alabama, was selected by the Detroit Lions. He was chosen with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The 23-year-old recorded his first career interception in Week 9 of the past season against the Minnesota Vikings. However, he was limited to playing only eight games due to a shoulder injury that necessitated season-ending surgery.

During his rookie season in 2024, Arnold played in 16 games. He tallied 10 passes defended and recorded 60 combined tackles. His NFL career has now been overshadowed by these serious legal allegations.
