When asked about the impact of first-year head coach Mike Brown and his role in uniting the team, the 28-year-old Anunoby remained silent, staring blankly as if he hadn’t heard the question.
After a brief pause, the “Good Morning America” hosts and Anunoby’s fellow Knicks players burst into laughter. Jalen Brunson, demonstrating his leadership, offered to answer the question himself, still chuckling.
Karl-Anthony Towns then took over and responded to the question, while Anunoby appeared unaware of the exchange.
According to a report from The Athletic, this was Anunoby’s first experience with alcohol, which he consumed during the Knicks’ championship celebration.

Throughout the 17 playoff games, he averaged over 20 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks.
