SouthernWorldwide.com – A spokeswoman for Students for Life faced a hostile encounter with a group of Antifa activists who reportedly celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The incident occurred outside the Turning Point USA’s Women’s Leadership Summit in Texas over the weekend.

Lydia Taylor Davis, the Students for Life spokeswoman, observed the group of activists outside the San Antonio convention center where the summit was taking place. She stated that they were harassing women entering and exiting the venue.

Davis decided to engage with the group using her microphone, but the situation quickly escalated into chaos. Video footage from the event shows one activist repeatedly coughing on Davis, another blasting a siren near her face, and a third throwing water on her.

The activists reportedly hurled graphic and sexually explicit insults at Davis. The group also chanted derogatory phrases, including “Oink, oink, piggy piggy, we don’t want you in our city.”

Davis expressed her shock at the protesters’ open celebration and mockery of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 while delivering a speech at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.

She recounted seeing protesters mock Kirk’s death, with one individual reportedly wearing a mask resembling Kirk and impersonating him to mock his assassination. This act was particularly disturbing to Davis, given Kirk was a father of young children.

Davis found it ironic that the protesters, while calling her a fascist, were openly celebrating the assassination of someone who was killed for expressing his opinions and exercising free speech. She argued that this behavior itself is a form of fascism.

In the video, an individual wearing a head covering similar to Kirk’s stood beside Davis. This person stated their support for assassinations, specifically mentioning “I support assassinating fascists.”

When questioned about their definition of a fascist, the individual refused to elaborate, stating, “Girl, I’m not here to have this conversation with you.” Another man was heard shouting obscenities directed at Charlie Kirk, just inches from Davis’s face.

Davis explained that the protesters’ aim seemed to be shutting down the event. She described the experience as deeply disturbing, especially as someone who admired Charlie Kirk and considered him a valuable partner in the pro-life movement.

She viewed the incident as a stark reminder of the “culture of death” they are confronting and emphasized the critical importance of their work in advocating for life and truth in what she described as a hostile environment.

Davis acknowledged the inherent dangers of her work within the conservative movement, revealing that she often travels with security and wears a bulletproof vest to events.

She urged greater involvement from individuals in conservative organizations like Turning Point and Students for Life. Davis believes the violence exhibited by the left underscores the urgency of their mission.

According to Davis, they are genuinely facing a “culture of death,” and there is a role for everyone in the pro-life movement. She stressed the urgent need for widespread participation.

Davis also shared her belief that the efforts of Students for Life are effective in changing people’s perspectives. She stated that many individuals are becoming pro-life after witnessing videos of what she describes as the “violence of the pro-war movement” and the “violence of the left.”

These individuals, she explained, then realize that the left does not represent the values of love and tolerance they claim to uphold. Davis concluded by expressing that her movement is on the side of truth and peace, capable of engaging in dialogue and disagreements without resorting to aggressive tactics.
