SouthernWorldwide.com – Jacob Fatu unleashed a brutal post-match assault on Roman Reigns following his loss of the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Backlash.
Fatu’s intense desire to claim the World Heavyweight Championship was evident, even after being pinned by Roman Reigns in their match at Backlash on Saturday night.
A wild look entered Fatu’s eyes immediately after Reigns secured the victory. He was visibly shocked and enraged as Reigns’ hand was raised, signifying his successful title defense. However, Fatu made it clear that his quest for championship gold and glory would not end at this premium live event.
The “Samoan Werewolf” channeled his frustration onto Reigns, Raw general manager Adam Pearce, and several producers who attempted to intervene and stop his post-match rampage.
His aggressive actions included attacking the referee, applying the Tongan death grip on Reigns, and delivering super-kicks to anyone who stood in his path.
Reigns managed to have the final word as he made his way up the entrance ramp, following the severe attack.
“This is why we should have never let Jacob into this company,” Reigns stated to Cathy Kelley while heading backstage. “You don’t belong here, Jacob. There’s no order with you. This is your last night here.”
Reigns and Fatu engaged in a fierce battle throughout the night, with much of the “Tribal Chief’s” offense appearing ineffective for a significant portion of the match.

However, a critical error ultimately proved costly for Fatu.
Towards the conclusion of the match, Fatu had Reigns locked in the Tongan death grip.
Reigns managed to cling onto the referee, inadvertently exposing a turnbuckle in the process.
This allowed Reigns to forcefully shove Fatu into the exposed turnbuckle before delivering a spear.
Reigns then pinned Fatu for the win, an outcome that ignited the ensuing chaotic scene.
Fatu was last seen holding the World Heavyweight Championship above a sprawled-out Reigns on the mat.
While the initial confrontation may have concluded, the war between these two competitors is far from over.
