SouthernWorldwide.com – A unique and heartwarming gender reveal took center stage at Camden Yards during the Baltimore Orioles’ game against the Athletics on Sunday afternoon.

Orioles pitcher Anthony Nunez made a brief but impactful appearance on the field, pitching one inning and helping to preserve the team’s 2-1 lead in their eventual victory.

As Nunez exited the mound after his performance, he was captured on camera mouthing the words, “It’s a boy.” This unexpected announcement was directed towards his brother and sister-in-law.

MASN broadcaster Kevin Brown explained the heartwarming gesture to viewers. “Anthony is mouthing ‘it’s a boy’ for some family members,” Brown stated. “His brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Makayla Delgado, are expecting child No. 3.

And that, folks, is one of the most creative gender reveals you’ll ever see. Anthony had the answer. Danny and Makayla did not know, and I hope that you two are watching.”

Nunez later elaborated on the surprise, sharing that his family had gathered for Mother’s Day. His brother had been planning this special reveal for the expectant parents.

“He just announced to them today that they were having their third kid, and he wanted to do the gender reveal,” Nunez said, as reported by the Baltimore Sun.

In terms of the game’s play, Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson and outfielder Dylan Beavers were instrumental in building the team’s lead. They each contributed with RBI against Athletics starter Luis Severino.

The win was credited to Orioles pitcher Chris Bassitt. He entered the game after opener Keegan Akin pitched the first inning. Bassitt delivered a strong performance, throwing six innings and allowing only one run on four hits.

The save for the Orioles was secured by Rico Garcia, marking his third of the season.

For the Athletics, the sole run of the game was driven in by outfielder Carlos Cortes, who scored Tyler Soderstrom.
