The President also highlighted the dire state of Iran’s economy, describing it as being in “freefall.” He pointed to rampant inflation and a currency that has lost its value. Trump noted that Iran has resorted to restoring internet access due to the severe impact of sanctions.
He suggested that Iran’s leadership had gambled on outlasting his presidency, believing that domestic political considerations, such as the midterms, would deter him. Trump dismissed this notion, referencing recent electoral outcomes as a precursor to future political events.

Trump asserted that through Operation Epic Fury, American forces are actively ensuring that Iran, identified as the world’s foremost state sponsor of terror, will not obtain nuclear weapons.
Following President Trump’s remarks, Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that diplomacy remains the primary approach for resolving the conflict with Iran. He expressed optimism about potential progress.
