SouthernWorldwide.com – The Los Angeles Rams have made a significant move by acquiring Myles Garrett, but whispers suggest they might be bolstering their defense even further with a potential return from a legendary player.
Former Rams teammate Michael Brockers has indicated that NFL great Aaron Donald might be contemplating coming out of retirement.
“(I have) some knowledge that others might not have… My guy is staying ready so he doesn’t have to get ready,” Brockers shared during a recent appearance on the “Locked On Rams Squad Show.”
Brockers and Donald shared six seasons together in Los Angeles. Donald announced his retirement after the 2023 season, concluding a career marked by unparalleled dominance at the defensive tackle position.

Donald, who is 35 years old, achieved Pro Bowl status in all 10 of his seasons. He was recognized as the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2014 and earned the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year award three times. Across 154 career games, he amassed 543 tackles, 111 sacks, and forced 24 fumbles.
A recent Instagram post from Donald has fueled speculation about a possible comeback. The video showcased him working out, and the caption included the hashtag “#ready.” The accompanying song, “Ain’t Done” by Bixst, further hinted at his readiness.
A defensive line featuring both Donald and Garrett would undoubtedly present a formidable challenge for opposing offenses. Garrett, who has become a cornerstone of the Cleveland Browns during his nine-year tenure, set an NFL record last year with 23 sacks in a single season.
Garrett, 30, has been named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year twice in the past three seasons. In his 134 career games, he has recorded 412 tackles, 125.5 sacks, and forced 23 fumbles.
The prospect of Donald and Garrett lining up together evokes memories of the Rams’ Super Bowl-winning team in 2021. That squad, which triumphed over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, boasted a formidable defensive line that included Donald, A’Shawn Robinson, Greg Gaines, Von Miller, and Leonard Floyd.
