SouthernWorldwide.com – Bode Miller, the most decorated male American alpine skier in history, has reportedly been arrested this month on drug-related charges.

TMZ Sports was the first to report on the arrest of the Olympic gold medalist. The report indicates that Miller faces one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to TMZ Sports, Miller was able to post a $5,000 bond and has since been released.

The outlet further states that Miller has entered a plea of not guilty to the charges. He is expected to appear in court on July 29.

Miller’s Olympic journey began at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games, where he secured two silver medals. However, his performance four years later in Italy did not result in any medals.

He achieved redemption in 2010, clinching his sole Olympic gold medal in the super-combined event. That same year, he also earned a silver medal in the Super-G and a bronze in the downhill.

Miller added another bronze medal to his collection in the Super-G at the Sochi Olympics. He officially retired from competitive skiing in 2017.

Beyond his Olympic achievements, Miller has an impressive record at the World Championships, where he won four gold medals. He also achieved 33 World Cup race victories, solidifying his status as the most successful male American alpine skier ever.

Miller claimed the overall skiing World Cup title in both 2005 and 2008. He holds a unique distinction as the only skier to have achieved at least five victories in every discipline of the sport.
