SouthernWorldwide.com – WNBA star Caitlin Clark is set to release a children’s book inspired by a motivational phrase from her childhood bedroom.
The Indiana Fever guard unveiled the cover art for her upcoming children’s picture book, titled “EXTRAordinary! A Little EXTRA to Reach BIG Dreams.” The book is slated for release in November.
Clark shared that the book draws from her own life experiences, which she described as being “like few others.” Pre-orders for the book are now available, as announced by Clark on X.
The project will be published by Random House Books and will feature illustrations by Adriana Predoi. Clark revealed that a phrase displayed in her childhood bedroom served as the primary inspiration for the book: “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little EXTRA.”

In addition to the bedroom inscription, Clark also credited the individuals who have supported her basketball career as a significant source of inspiration for this literary endeavor.
She expressed in a statement made in late April that basketball has provided her with numerous remarkable opportunities. However, what has consistently held the most meaning for her are the people who have offered their support throughout her journey.
Clark hopes the book will serve as a reminder to children that they are never alone in their pursuit of dreams. She also aims to convey that investing a little extra effort into people and moments is what ultimately makes them “EXTRAordinary.”
Clark’s 2025 season was impacted by a series of injuries, which limited the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer to just 13 games in her second WNBA season. These injury setbacks included a groin strain followed by an ankle bone bruise.
She participated in four of the Fever’s initial five games this season. However, she was a late scratch for Wednesday’s game against the Portland Fire.
