SouthernWorldwide.com – Former WWE announcer Kayla Becker has found a new passion and a dedicated community on BZZR, a social media platform designed specifically for sports enthusiasts.

Becker, well-known to professional wrestling fans for her backstage interviews, pre-show hosting, and in-ring announcing during WWE programming, is now connecting with a broader audience of sports fans through her collaboration with BZZR.

This new venture allows her to leverage her extensive background in sports entertainment while indulging her lifelong passion for sports in general.

“Really excited to be a part of BZZR. I obviously have a sports entertainment background when it comes to wrestling,” Becker shared. “For eight years of my life, I only talked about wrestling, but I only had a passion for sports.”

Her interest in sports predates her wrestling career. Becker revealed that she was a sports broadcast minor in college, harboring dreams of playing in the WNBA, a goal that was ultimately unattainable due to her height.

The opportunity to join BZZR came about through a former colleague. Chris Dunn, who heads content at BZZR, previously worked with Becker as a lead writer at WWE.

“When he got involved with BZZR, he was like I know a girl who can talk on camera for an extended period of time about whatever we tell her to,” Becker explained. “So, that’s essentially where we are right now and I’m having a blast with it.”

BZZR aims to provide a focused environment for sports fans, cutting through the noise and algorithmic distractions often found on mainstream social media platforms.

Becker highlighted the platform’s unique selling proposition: its exclusive focus on sports. This specialization, she believes, sets it apart from other social media offerings.

“I think the fact that it’s a social media platform exclusively about sports. I think that in itself is really unique,” she stated.

Furthermore, BZZR ensures a higher quality of interaction by featuring verified creators who have established followings. This approach aims to eliminate bots and trolls, fostering a community of genuine sports aficionados.

“Also, all the creators on there are verified creators with a following of their own so when you go on there and sign up, you’re not dealing with bots or trolls. It’s real people who know what they’re talking about and want to share their passion for sports with the community,” Becker explained.

She has successfully transitioned some of her existing followers from the wrestling world to BZZR, finding that they are eager to engage with her content on the new platform.

“I’ve been able to bring some followers over from my wrestling world to check out what I’m saying on BZZR. They want to be there,” she noted.

Becker contrasted BZZR with other social media platforms, where users may encounter undesirable content or interactions. She emphasized BZZR’s role as a secure and welcoming space for sports fans.

“So, on other social media platforms, we all experience, there’s some people who maybe shouldn’t be on social media. The good thing about BZZR is it’s a really safe, home base, for sports fans,” Becker affirmed.

Becker joins a growing roster of content creators on BZZR, including All Elite Wrestling star MVP and fellow pro wrestling podcaster Dwayne Swayze, further strengthening the platform’s appeal to sports and wrestling enthusiasts.
