SouthernWorldwide.com – A former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has shared an update on her ongoing health struggles, revealing a new diagnosis after years of unexplained symptoms.
Brandi Glanville, 53, has been candid about her experiences with facial swelling, lumps, and paralysis, which began around 2023.
Initially, Glanville suspected she had contracted a parasite during a trip to Morocco, describing a sensation of it moving within her face.
Her first official diagnosis was stress-induced angioedema. This condition, as described by the Cleveland Clinic, involves sudden swelling in the deeper layers of the skin and mucous membranes.
The Mayo Clinic explains angioedema as a reaction akin to hives, affecting deeper skin layers. It can manifest alongside hives or independently.
In a recent episode of her podcast, “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered,” aired on June 18, Glanville disclosed that medical professionals had identified a “benign tumor” within one of her facial lymph nodes.
This finding could potentially explain the persistent swelling and fluid accumulation she has been experiencing, a condition she has noted has involved a lump in her face for “years.”
Glanville expressed her confusion and frustration, stating, “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, guys. I thought I was fixed, and then it happened again and now it’s sinking in again.”
“It could be why the fluid is going around my face and why I’m having a hard time,” she added, suggesting a link between the tumor and her symptoms.
While benign facial tumors can originate from various tissues such as fat, blood vessels, skin structures, salivary glands, or lymphatic tissue, Glanville has not yet specified the exact type of tumor she was diagnosed with.
Before this latest discovery, Glanville reported consulting with dozens of doctors and spending upwards of $100,000 in her quest to understand the cause of her health issues.
She reiterated that the tumor is “not cancerous,” playfully adding, “I haven’t had a face lift yet!”
Glanville also previously theorized that her ruptured breast implants might have contributed to her health problems, suggesting that leaking silicone could have obstructed her lymph nodes.
