SouthernWorldwide.com – Jonathan Andic, the son of Mango clothing chain founder Isak Andic, has vehemently denied accusations of killing his father.

He has labeled the allegations as “serious, unjust and unfounded” in a public letter addressed to the company’s staff. This statement comes as he announces his resignation from his position as vice president of the fashion giant’s board.

Andic stated that he needs to dedicate all his energy to proving his innocence. He believes a narrative has been constructed that is biased and taken out of context, leading to a false perception of guilt.

“I make this decision sadly, but convinced that it is what’s best for the company and for me,” Andic wrote in his first public comments on the case. He is 45 years old.

The incident occurred on December 14, 2024, when Isak Andic, a 71-year-old billionaire, fell to his death while hiking with his son, Jonathan, in the Montserrat mountains near Barcelona.

Initially, the death was treated as an accident by investigators. However, prosecutors decided to reopen the case in October 2025, focusing their attention on Jonathan Andic.

Jonathan Andic was arrested a week prior to the letter’s publication. He was subsequently released after posting bail amounting to one million euros, which is equivalent to approximately $1.2 million.

According to Reuters, Jonathan Andic was appointed executive vice president of Mango’s holding company in January 2025. This appointment took place about six weeks after his father’s death.
