SouthernWorldwide.com – WWE NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo has expressed his displeasure with newcomer Mason Rook, stating that he “owes him a receipt.” D’Angelo is currently facing challengers from various directions as he defends his NXT Championship.

Both Naraku and Mason Rook have made their intentions known since their arrival in NXT. Naraku has successfully earned a shot at the NXT Championship, which is scheduled to take place at The Great American Bash on Sunday.

While D’Angelo is still grappling with Naraku’s mind games, he harbors significant consternation towards Rook. Rook took advantage of an attack on D’Angelo by Kam Hendrix during Rook’s debut appearance in NXT.

Following this, Rook executed a moonsault on D’Angelo. He then proceeded to attack both D’Angelo and Hendrix after the latter two had competed in a match.

“I think he has a lot of potential. I think he’s very athletic for a guy of his size,” D’Angelo commented on Rook. “I owe him a receipt, for sure, for moonsaulting on me and then also attacking me at the end of the match.”

D’Angelo elaborated on his feelings towards Rook. “I don’t know. Me, personally, I don’t have a lot of good things to say about the guy because, I get it, he wants the title. He wants to make a statement when he first gets to NXT but not at my expense.”

However, D’Angelo acknowledged Rook’s potential impact on the NXT landscape. “But, I’m sure you’ll see a lot more of him. I’m sure him and Kam Hendrix got some beef to settle. I’m sure we’ll see how that goes.”

For the immediate future, Rook appears to be preoccupied with his issues with Kam Hendrix. Meanwhile, Tony D’Angelo is focused on his upcoming title defense against Naraku.
