The Orlando Storm extended their winning streak to six games with a 31-24 road victory over the Dallas Renegades, officially clinching a playoff spot. Quarterback Jack Plummer led the Storm’s offense, which amassed 367 total yards. Orlando struggled in the first quarter, missing two field goal attempts, while Dallas opened the scoring with a field goal and a touchdown pass from Austin Reed to Emmanuel Butler in the second quarter. Plummer’s 1-yard rushing touchdown tied the game at 10-10 heading into halftime.
The second half saw a surge in offensive output from both teams. Plummer extended Orlando’s lead with another rushing touchdown, making it 17-10. Dallas responded quickly with a touchdown pass from Reed to tight end Seth Green, tying the score once more. However, Storm RB Jashaun Corbin answered with a touchdown run, giving Orlando a 24-17 lead entering the fourth quarter. Both teams exchanged touchdowns until the final three minutes, when a crucial interception by Dallas on fourth down sealed their fate and eliminated them from playoff contention. On the opening play from scrimmage, DC quarterback Jordan Ta’amu connected with wide receiver Ty Scott for a 41-yard touchdown.
