Drummond has also been vocal in his opposition to the policies of the current Biden administration. He has specifically criticized what he terms “radical overreach” on immigration and policies that permit biological boys to compete in girls’ sports.
Another candidate in the primary, Charles McCall, ran on a platform emphasizing “family, faith, and moral leadership.” He sought to leverage his experience and record as a member of the state legislature.
McCall’s economic proposals included the abolition of both state income tax and property tax, advocating for an economically conservative approach to governance.
Chip Keating, who previously served in the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, positioned himself as the sole former law enforcement officer among the gubernatorial candidates. His campaign website underscored this unique qualification.
