SouthernWorldwide.com – The Cactus Bowl is set to return to its original home on the campus of Arizona State University.
Fiesta Sports Foundation, the organization behind both the Fiesta and Cactus Bowls, officially announced the move on Wednesday. This marks the end of a nine-year tenure for the Cactus Bowl at Chase Field, the home stadium of Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks.
The game is scheduled to take place on December 26 at Arizona State’s Mountain America Stadium.
The Cactus Bowl’s relocation to Chase Field was a temporary measure necessitated by renovations at Arizona State’s stadium. During its time at Chase Field, the bowl has seen several title sponsors, most recently being known as the Rate Bowl from 2024 to 2025.
Prior to its move to Chase Field, the Cactus Bowl was consistently played at Arizona State’s stadium for a significant period, spanning from 2006 through 2015.
