Hasan Piker Identifies Pro-CCP Tycoon Singham as Funder of ‘Political Movements’ Under Nonprofit Guise

Politics9 Views

SouthernWorldwide.com – Far-left political influencer Hasan Piker has identified Neville Roy Singham, an American Marxist tech tycoon, as a primary financier behind a network of U.S. nonprofits that advocate for pro-communist causes. Piker stated these organizations are involved in “political advocacy” and “a lot of political movements.” This marks the first public admission from an insider within the far-left network that Singham’s affiliated organizations are operating with a clear political agenda.

These statements are particularly noteworthy because congressional investigators and watchdog groups have long contended that nonprofits linked to Singham function as overt political operations, despite their tax-exempt charitable status. Critics argue that such activities may contravene nonprofit tax laws, which impose strict limitations on the extent of political engagement permissible for charities.

During a six-hour livestream on Monday, approximately 37 minutes in, Piker addressed his audience with the headline, “FEDS ARE AFTER ME,” accompanied by two cursing emojis. He surprised those familiar with the inner workings of far-left networks by suggesting that federal investigators are ultimately targeting Singham and the organizations he supports. These include CodePink, and the self-proclaimed communist groups ANSWER Coalition and Party for Socialism and Liberation, due to their “political” work.

Collectively, these groups and others within the Singham network have been instrumental in organizing, coordinating, and staffing many of the divisive anti-U.S. street protests seen across the nation in the past decade. The Party for Socialism and Liberation is commonly referred to as “PSL” by far-left activists.

“I think that ultimately the target is probably Singham and his operation from PSL to ANSWER Coalition to CodePink — like anything that he has ever financed,” Piker stated during the stream.

The investigation also documented for the first time Singham’s presence at a conference in Shanghai in November 2025. The event, held at the Golden Tulip Hotel, saw Singham praising Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party’s vision for a “new world order.”

Piker defended Singham during the livestream, asserting that the federal government was attempting to stifle activism funded by Singham, whom he described as a wealthy ideological donor.

“And it’s not new, it’s been around for a while,” Piker remarked.

Piker continued, “It’s like totally f—ing ridiculous to try and stop the political advocacy of an American citizen.”

He added, “Roy Singham is an American citizen. He lives in China now and he’s a centimillionaire. I think he has almost a billion dollars.” A centimillionaire is defined as an individual with a net worth of at least $100 million.

Piker then characterized Singham as a “funding vehicle” for “a lot of political movements.” The Singham network has been known to deploy rapid-response teams to protest U.S. actions. This includes demonstrations in support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, where professional protesters, such as CodePink D.C. Coordinator Olivia DiNucci, have used symbolic actions, like painting their hands red, to condemn U.S. military actions in Iran. DiNucci was seen protesting alongside Medea Benjamin outside the White House.

HOUSE HEARING RAISES RED FLAGS OVER FORMER TECH MOGUL’S ‘CCP NETWORK’ ALLEGEDLY FUNDING OF FAR-LEFT GROUPS

Piker commented, “Not sure how much money he has now, but he’s been a funding vehicle for a lot of political movements in the country, like a lot of activism, and they hate that s—, so they’re trying to jam them up.”

“They’re trying to hit him on anything and everything they possibly can. That’s it, that’s the goal here. That’s the broader goal.”

Monday’s remarks were particularly significant as they represented the first instance of a prominent figure within the network openly describing Singham’s role as supporting “political movements” and “political advocacy” operations within the United States.

Several congressional committees, including the Senate Judiciary Committee, the House Judiciary Committee, the House Oversight Committee, and the House Ways and Means Committee, have been examining various aspects of Singham’s funding network. Their focus has included questions concerning foreign influence, compliance by nonprofits, and political advocacy activities.

Investigators have increasingly scrutinized whether organizations receiving charitable tax benefits have engaged in political activism exceeding the limits permitted by federal law. Piker’s description of Singham as financing “political movements” is likely to intensify these investigations.

WHO IS HASAN PIKER? MEET THE FAR-LEFT STREAMER WHO IS STIRRING UP CONTROVERSY ONLINE AND DIVIDING DEMOCRATS

Piker, who was born in Turkey, is the nephew of Cenk Uygur, a Turkish-American socialist political operative and the founder of The Young Turks YouTube channel. Uygur is also a co-founder of Justice Democrats, a socialist organization that played a role in electing far-left lawmakers such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Ilhan Omar, and Rep. Rashida Tlaib.

In recent years, Piker has gained national prominence as one of the country’s most influential left-wing online commentators. He espouses Marxism, though critics label him a “champagne socialist” due to his preference for designer clothing, expensive vehicles, and a high-end lifestyle. Piker faced criticism even within socialist circles for residing in a $2 million home in West Hollywood, California.

Piker has monetized his lengthy livestreams on Twitch, a platform popular among young online gamers. He speaks for extended periods, largely unscripted, engaging in stream-of-consciousness commentary that often includes rants, profanity, and condemnations of the very nation where he has achieved wealth. He frequently echoes talking points from U.S. adversaries, including Russia, China, Cuba, and the terrorist organization Hamas. In his Monday livestream, Piker mentioned purchasing a suit from a photoshoot he recently completed in New York City over the weekend.

News of the subpoena issued to Piker and Benjamin generated considerable reactions across activist and political circles. While far-left figures and organizations rallied behind Piker, even Democratic leaders and influencers reportedly mocked him for his past criticisms of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, especially now that he is facing scrutiny from the Trump administration.

Piker himself has dedicated two livestreams since the news broke to denouncing the investigation. He has characterized it as politically motivated and positioned himself as a victim.

The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is responsible for enforcing U.S. sanctions laws and restrictions related to foreign governments, organizations, and individuals under its sanction programs. Within Washington policy circles, “OFAC” has become a verb, and being “OFAC’ed” is widely considered a significant escalation, potentially indicating violations of sanctions or foreign transaction regulations.
