SouthernWorldwide.com – President Donald Trump has unveiled a new, limited-edition United States passport, featuring his own image alongside a message intended to welcome visitors while also cautioning them about proper conduct.
The passport’s interior displays a page with Trump’s likeness, positioned in front of a backdrop of the Declaration of Independence. This design is accompanied by a clear directive: “Welcome, but be good!”
Trump shared the imagery on his Truth Social platform, accompanying it with the statement, “The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, ‘Welcome, but be good!’ President DJT.”
One of the showcased pages presents a serious-looking Trump above his signature. Another page depicts a stylized rendition of the Founding Fathers in the act of signing the Declaration of Independence, with the text “United States of America 250” prominently displayed beneath it.
This initiative is connected to the Trump administration’s broader “America250” celebration, a series of events planned to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The “America250” festivities also include other significant events, such as a Grand Prix race scheduled to take place on the National Mall in August.
Furthermore, a UFC fight was recently held on the White House South Lawn as part of these commemorative activities.
The release of these special passports is anticipated for this summer.
Trump’s social media announcement arrives as the United States has been implementing more stringent vetting procedures for international visitors.
These updated policies explicitly require tourists and nonimmigrants to show respect for and adhere to American laws and institutions.
The increased scrutiny on foreign visitors aligns with the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The U.S. is preparing for a substantial influx of international guests for the World Cup, which is set to conclude in July.
