SouthernWorldwide.com – WWE star Sami Zayn has been vocal about his frustrations on “Friday Night SmackDown” in recent weeks, often confiding in Johnny Gargano.
Gargano, widely known as “Johnny Wrestling,” has been a consistent presence in segments, though typically lying face down. He has not spoken nor competed in a wrestling match since Stand & Deliver in April. The only indication of Gargano’s awareness has been when Zayn addresses him.
“I believe he is an exceptionally gifted individual. Anyone who has followed his career, particularly his work in NXT, understands his capabilities,” Zayn stated. “Some performers, upon reaching the main roster, never truly get to display their full potential, and I feel he falls into that category. …
“He appears to be in a sort of vegetative state, and he simply needs a Prince Charming or someone to rescue him and pull him out of it. … I think he just needs the right spark to reignite his memory of who he is, and I do believe that when that moment arrives, we will witness an exciting facet of him that has been unseen for a considerable time.”
Gargano is undeniably one of the most technically skilled wrestlers on the roster. He was instrumental in producing some of the most memorable matches in NXT history. His accolades include the NXT Championship, NXT North American Championship, and NXT Tag Team Championship, making him the inaugural NXT Triple Crown champion.
On the main WWE roster, he has achieved success as a WWE tag team champion on two occasions. However, fans universally hope for his return to active competition, to emerge from this period of inactivity and showcase his exceptional in-ring abilities once more.
