SouthernWorldwide.com – Tiger Woods appears to have concluded his overseas treatment. The renowned 15-time major champion was observed disembarking from his private aircraft on Wednesday afternoon at Palm Beach International Airport, following a several-week stay in Switzerland.

Woods, sporting facial hair, was dressed in a black long-sleeved shirt and a hat, complemented by sunglasses. He wore gray shorts and black shoes, with a compression sleeve still visible on his left leg. A dog also accompanied him on the flight.

Woods was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence on March 27, subsequent to a car crash. Authorities reported that Woods appeared lethargic and that hydrocodone pills were found on his person, despite him recording “triple-zeroes” on a Breathalyzer test.

On April 1, Woods received permission from a judge to travel abroad “to enter into comprehensive inpatient treatment.”

In a statement, Woods expressed his understanding of the gravity of his situation. He indicated he was stepping away for a period to seek treatment and focus on his health, deeming it necessary to prioritize his well-being and work towards sustained recovery.

He further committed to taking the time required to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused state, both personally and professionally. Woods conveyed his appreciation for understanding and support, while requesting privacy for his family, loved ones, and himself during this time.

Woods has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge. However, several days after the accident, he announced his intention to “seek treatment.” At the crash site, he had expressed hope of playing in the Masters, but his treatment placed his eventual return to the course on hold.

The arrest marked Woods’ second in less than a decade. He had previously been handcuffed after being found asleep at the wheel in Florida in the early hours of a day.

Prior to undergoing field sobriety tests, Woods informed law enforcement that he had undergone seven back surgeries and “over 20 operations on his leg.” He also stated that he was taking “a few” prescription medications. In 2021, he was involved in a crash that resulted in severe leg injuries, which sidelined him from the golf course for the entire year.

Recently, a judge ruled that Florida prosecutors could obtain Woods’ prescription drug records covering the period from January 1 through March 27.
