He highlighted that while many ballrooms are built on a single level, this project involves substantial subterranean construction. Further details revealed by Trump indicated the ballroom’s impressive depth of six stories. He characterized the building materials as “impenetrable” steel and glass that is four inches thick. The construction is also incorporating a substantial amount of concrete, reportedly weighing 9,000 pounds.
Beyond its function as an event space, the structure is slated to house advanced facilities. These include a military hospital, research capabilities, various meeting rooms, and integrated security infrastructure designed for drone and missile defense systems.
The roof of the ballroom was described as “dead flat” and engineered for maximum strength, with “absolutely nothing but strength on it.” Trump elaborated on its potential as a “drone port,” capable of supporting an “unlimited numbers of drones” and providing strategic military positioning.
He also mentioned the integration of advanced security measures, stating, “I hate to use the word snipers, but we have great sniper capacities built for our snipers. Not the enemy snipers, our snipers.” The strategic height of the structure, he added, would offer a clear vantage point across much of Washington.
