As reporters approached Biden near Wilshire Boulevard, one asked, “Hunter, what do you think of the DOJ when they release your father’s interview tapes from the biography that he did?”
Hunter Biden responded with a question, “What are you talking about?”
This interaction occurs amidst legal efforts to obtain audio recordings related to the classified documents probe involving former President Joe Biden. These proceedings have intensified scrutiny regarding the elder Biden’s memory and his fitness for office.
The investigation focused on how Joe Biden handled and discussed classified materials during his conversations with ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer. Special Counsel Rob Hur indicated that Zwonitzer had deleted the files, but the Justice Department managed to recover them.
The conservative watchdog group Oversight Project initiated a lawsuit against the DOJ, demanding the release of audio recordings from Joe Biden’s interviews with special counsel Robert Hur. Biden has maintained his innocence and stated that he fully cooperated with the investigation.
When pressed further, Hunter Biden commented, “I don’t know, man — I hadn’t heard that one.”
The reporter also inquired about the recently declassified UFO Files.
“It’s crazy right?” Hunter Biden replied, without offering further details.
Hunter Biden was among several individuals whose Secret Service protection was rescinded by the Trump administration.
In March 2025, Trump announced that Hunter Biden and his half-sister, Ashley Blazer Biden, the daughter of Jill and Joe Biden, would no longer receive such protection.
The president had previously expressed criticism regarding Hunter’s Secret Service detail, noting that it comprised “as many as 18 people.”
