SouthernWorldwide.com – The Pentagon has initiated the release of declassified UFO files, making approximately 162 documents, photographs, and videos available to the public. This initial batch originates from the archives of the FBI, Department of Defense, State Department, and NASA, with further releases anticipated as the process unfolds.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that these classified files have long been a source of justified speculation. He emphasized that it is now time for the American people to examine the information for themselves.
The Pentagon released this photo identified as an “Unresolved UAP Report” from U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in 2024. The image depicts a “UAP that resembles a football-shaped body near Japan.”

The directive for this release came in February from President Trump. Through a post on Truth Social, he instructed the Pentagon and other agency heads to declassify documents pertaining to UFOs and any related extraterrestrial life.

President Trump specifically requested that the agencies begin the process of identifying and releasing all pertinent files. He also called for the disclosure of “any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters.”
For decades, the Pentagon has been documenting reports of what it categorizes as unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs. However, a report issued by the military in 2024 indicated that there is no conclusive evidence from any government investigation that confirms the existence of extraterrestrial life.
President Trump himself has expressed uncertainty regarding the existence of aliens.
This is a developing story and will be updated with more information on what’s in the files.
